The rescuer received a message about a dog lying under a tree, which was presumed dead.
As they approached, they realized he was still alive but covered in hundreds of blisters that turned out to be lice.
Tika could not stand on her own, but she was glad to see that help had arrived and began to wag her tail.
The local clinics did not want to take her for fear that the lice would invade their buildings, so the rescuer took Tika home to remove the lice and bathe her.
