Local authorities in San Miguel, New Mexico, have ordered a search, seizure of desert home property, and assistance from the United States Humanitarian Association. And what they found were so many neglected lost souls…
Many dogs live outdoors in crowded, dirty pens, some with no apparent access to food or water. The rescuers worked tirelessly to cover all the property, making sure to find the last dog.
«Puppies do not usually survive in such an environment because of a struggle for resources,» says a member of the HSUS Animal Rescue Team.
The dogs were frightened and hesitant to accept any help, so rescuers had to take the time to gain their trust. Little did they know that this was the beginning of a whole new life.
The rescued animals will be examined by licensed veterinarians.
